VCSD to launch Parent Portal at the high school

Information nights scheduled for Dec. 6 & 7

(Nov. 17, 2011) Parents of Clayton A. Bouton High School students will soon have the ability to access their child's report card, progress reports, assignment grades and more through a web-based application called Parent Portal. The high school will host parent information nights on Dec. 6 and 7.

Currently, the district is piloting the program at the high school, but expects to make it available for all students grades 7-12 in the future.

"Parent Portal is a great communications tool and we hope that parents will use it regularly and become even better partners with us in their child's education," said Clayton A. Bouton High School Principal Imran Abbasi.

Parent Information Nights

Parents will have the opportunity to learn about Parent Portal and receive their log-in and password at information nights scheduled for December 6 and 7 at 6 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. We are requesting that families with the last name beginnings with A-K attend the Dec. 6 session and names L-Z attend on Dec. 7. If your schedule does not allow you to do so, please attend the meeting that works for you. Also, we ask that you bring identification so that we can authenticate your password.

If you cannot attend either meeting, please contact Mr. Patrick Corrigan AFTER December 7 to help get you started. The assistant principal's office number is 765-3314 x 206.
