District honors volunteers with Extra Mile Awards

(June 9, 2010) From giving back to the community by volunteering at churches, nursing homes and libraries --just to name a few-- to teaching about healthy lifestyles and providing wellness-themed activities for elementary students, a number of individuals went above and beyond the call of duty this school year.

To that end, the Voorheesville Central School District recognized more than 20 parents, students and teachers with Extra Mile Awards on June 7, as part of the district's annual volunteer recognition program.
