VES celebrates annual Read-a-thon featuring celebrity, student speakers


(June 9, 2010) With the support of the PTA and Kiwanis, Voorheesville Elementary celebrated its 2nd Annual Read-a-thon event on Friday, May 21. The evening featured celebrity speakers Superintendent Dr. Teresa Snyder, Principal Tom Reardon, Library Media Specialist Mr. Michael Puspurs and student reader Tori Szesnat. Student Caroline Hunt was also recognized for being the biggest fundraiser for the year.
