their time and talent to community service projects, and who serve as
positive role models in school and community settings.

has helped organize several events and activities this year, including
the junior prom and junior class dodgeball tournament as well as ice
cream sales during homecoming and concessions at varsity football games.

substitute Catechist at St. Matthew's Church, and annually raises funds
for the Teal Ribbon Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. In the past,

Society's Relay for Life. She is a part-time dance student at Skidmore
College. is completing her high school course work at Hudson Valley
Community College and will graduate early with Clayton A. Bouton High
School's Class of 2009.

varsity soccer, cross country, track and basketball teams. She has

College in Boston in July.
Anthony Thanopoulos
Mr. T, as he is known to staff, students, parents
and administrators, has been a positive force both within and outside
the classroom. For the past few years, he has provided review and
remedial sessions for all chemistry students, not just the ones in his
course. His love and enthusiasm for the subject matter rubs off on his
students. Thanopoulos can be found chaperoning extracurricular events,
such as high school dances, football games and track meets. He is a
member of the district's Crisis Management Team and Building Level
Emergency Response Team as well as vice-president of the teachers union
and advisor of the school's Envirothon team. In his personal time,
Thanopoulos is a member and executive officer with the Colonie Elks,
where he was selected as the New York State Elks Association CP Person
of the Year in 2005-2006.
