She also volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House in Albany, serves as a substitute Catechist at St. Matthew's Church, and annually raises funds for the Teal Ribbon Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. In the past, Flansburg has served as a student coordinator for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. She is a part-time dance student at Skidmore College. is completing her high school course work at Hudson Valley Community College and will graduate early with Clayton A. Bouton High School's Class of 2009.

Jane Pritchard

Pritchard is treasurer of the sophomore class, actively participates in Model United Nations, student government and numerous other class activities. She is a member of the district's varsity soccer, cross country, track and basketball teams. She has helped raise funds for the American Cancer Society, Hurricane Katrina Relief and the 2004 Tsunami Relief. Pritchard is particularly passionate about the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, volunteering countless hours to help raise funds or organize special events. She will serve as the district's 2009 Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership representative at RPI next month, and will attend the National Youth Forum on Medicine at Babson College in Boston in July.

Anthony Thanopoulos

Mr. T, as he is known to staff, students, parents and administrators, has been a positive force both within and outside the classroom. For the past few years, he has provided review and remedial sessions for all chemistry students, not just the ones in his course. His love and enthusiasm for the subject matter rubs off on his students. Thanopoulos can be found chaperoning extracurricular events, such as high school dances, football games and track meets. He is a member of the district's Crisis Management Team and Building Level Emergency Response Team as well as vice-president of the teachers union and advisor of the school's Envirothon team. In his personal time, Thanopoulos is a member and executive officer with the Colonie Elks, where he was selected as the New York State Elks Association CP Person of the Year in 2005-2006.
