Voorheesville staff compete in GHI Workforce Team Challenge
May
28, 2009—More than 20 Voorheesville Central
School District employees participated in Group Health Incorporated's (GHI)
Workforce Team Challenge—a 3.5 mile road race held in downtown Albany on
May 21.
The group of district office employees, teachers and support staff
included seasoned runners, amateurs and walkers, who sported team
t-shirts designed by fourth grade teacher Ashley Hillard.
“It was truly a school district affair with lots of team spirit,” said
high school science teacher Kelly McHale, who helped organize the
district’s participation with Hillard. “We had a fantastic time and hope
that we’ll have even more participation next year.”
"Congratulations to everyone involved, and many thanks to Kelly and
Ashley for organizing the district’s involvement,” said High School
Principal Mark Diefendorf.
