District honors volunteers with Extra Mile Awards

June 11, 2009—From taking pictures of school events and hosting a party for exchange students to initiating a paper recycling program and making a school and community garden a reality, a number of individuals went above and beyond the call of duty this school year.

To that end, the Voorheesville Central School District recognized more than 20 parents, students and teachers with Extra Mile Awards in early June, as part of the district's annual volunteer recognition program.
