Elementary school principal search update

January 5, 2009 - The search for a permanent Voorheesville Elementary School principal is well underway.

The application deadline for potential candidates was January 2, 2009. An interview committee comprised of parents, teachers, administrators and support staff is expected to conduct two rounds of interviews in February in order to narrow the field of candidates.

In March, Interim Superintendent Raymond Colucciello and the Voorheesville Board of Education will screen the finalists. A permanent replacement is expected to be appointed by the Board of Education around April/May 2009, with his or her duties commencing on July 1, 2009.

Retired Voorheesville Elementary School Principal Ed Diegel has been serving as interim principal.
