Boys
cross country team sprints past the competition
It was a blustery, cold afternoon and a cup of hot
chocolate would have been a nice way to end the day.
But instead of heading home after school, the boys
and girls cross country teams were warming up, stretching and working on
their running form, hoping to finish their already victorious seasons
with a few more wins.
The boys varsity team won the Colonial Council
Championship for the second year in a row by winning all seven of its
class C, section 2 league meets.
Ranked first in the section, the boys varsity team
also won the Colonial Council Championship meet on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at
Saratoga.
The teams will take to their courses on Nov. 3 for
the sectional meet, at Saratoga Spa State Park.
The
girls cross country team has also had an excellent season, winning six
of the seven meets in its league, finishing second in the Colonial
Council Champtionship meet, winning both the Grout Run and Galway
Invitational and finishing second at the Burnt Hills Invitational. |
