High
school blood drive a success
Students, teachers and community members gave a
little piece of themselves last week to help others in need.
During the fall blood drive in October, the American
Red Cross collected 64 units of blood from the donors at Clayton A.
Bouton High School, which will be used at local blood banks.
“I think it shows our generosity,” said senior
Hayley George, who worked with classmates during their lunch period to
help staff the fall blood the drive.
“It really does reflect how generous we are as a
community,” agreed senior Rob DiBlasi.
“It’s become kind of tradition here to give blood,”
senior Tim Robinson said.
Tom Gladd, faculty advisor of the High School
Student Council said he believes the day had an “excellent” turnout.
“Thank you to all who participated,” he added.
Organizers are planning a second blood drive for the
spring.
