Creative Keyboarding
Students in Computer Tools 6 practiced their
keyboarding skills through a joint project with kindergarten and
first-grade students in the beginning of December.
The kindergarteners and first graders at Voorheesville Elementary School
drew pictures for the sixth-grade students in Ms. Jennifer Wademan’s
computer class. In turn, Ms. Wademan’s students wrote stories about the
artwork, or wrote letters to the elementary school students.
"The assignment not only helps students with computer skills, but it
makes a connection between elementary and middle school students,"
Wademan said.
Next, students in the Computer Tools 6 class will practice
letter-writing skills by writing to men and women serving in the
military overseas.
