Volunteer Opportunities
There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer in the garden.

Assist when students utilize the garden as an
outdoor classroom, at a special event or during a craft workshop
Deliver food to senior citizen housing complex during the summer
months

Help maintain the garden - no experience
necessary, volunteers needed spring, summer and/or fall seasons

Committee work such as garden planning, event
planning, helping with public relations

High School Students: Looking for community
service hours to fulfill graduation requirement?
Blackbird Paradise school garden offers an
opportunity for high school students to volunteer and earn hours toward
the 15-hours of community service required for graduation. If

Outdoor Service Opportunities
Opportunity to earn volunteer hours in
Blackbird Paradise Garden at the elementary school. Help with general
upkeep, general gardening tasks (no experience necessary), or assist
master gardeners with small group activities in the garden working with
young children. Earn as many or as few credits as you wish or just lend
a hand for fun. Volunteer opportunities are available early spring
