Two students selected for volleyball high
performance travel team
(May
7, 2012) Congratulations to Libby Bjork
(sophomore) and Emma Sprotbery (freshman) who have been selected to
participate as members of the Iroquois Empire Volleyball Association's
(IREVA) High Performance Junior Travel Team.
Libby and Emma were recently notified of the selections following
tryouts that were held at three different sites in the IREVA region. The
IREVA region includes a significant portion of New York state from its
southern most point in Orange County, west to Chemung and Cayuga
Counties and north to Clinton County. Libby has been selected to
participate as a setter and Emma has been selected to participate as an
outside hitter.
In July, Libby and Emma will participate in a week-long camp at Clarkson
University and will then travel to Des Moines, Iowa, where they will
compete at the USA Volleyball High Performance International
Championships against teams from around the world. This is Libby's
second consecutive invitation to participate as a member
of the travel team and Emma's first invitation.
